The 90 minute film tracing the history, development and present day situation of this incredible wine making region, there are six approximately 3-4 minute extras of interviews with Pedro Branco (Quinta do Portal), George Sandeman, Alistair Robertson (Fladgate Partnership), Dirk Niepoort, Paul Symington, and Roy Hersh (For The Love of Port).
The film is mostly in English, and the NTSC version (for North America and some other regions) has subtitles in English for the Portuguese parts. The PAL version for Europe has subtitles in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and German.
Filmmaker Zev Robinson spent 45 days filming in the region over the course of 15 months, and interviewed and filmed 28 people, including many of the leading figures and winemakers of the region. The film has received fantastic responses from audiences, and future screenings are now being planned.
